It turns out that my thyroid levels still fall into the ‘average’ range (and that’s with carbimazole – anti-thyroid medication – still in my bloodstream, pushing it down further than it would naturally be). I’m not hypothyroid, and I don’t qualify for thyroxine. Yet.
So the instructions are to ‘wait and see’ – my levels are certainly going downwards, and I probably will need thyroxine at some point. Actually, I’m currently drug-free and I like the idea of staying that way for as long as possible. I seem to have regained my energy and the perpetual headache gradually faded. So it’s still ‘watch this space!’
Happy New Year!
